The Travel Storytelling Festival

Hi! Are you a travel blogger and up for a new event and a spontaneous trip to Brussels in April?! Here is your chance. 9 days left to organize it! I just found out about the Travel Storytelling Festival and the brand new website in online now too. You can meet speakers who traveled arround the world, you can join workshops, concerts and photography exhibitions and on top of it all you will have a great time with inspiring people. “Mr. WoopWoop!” alias The Social Traveler or Bjorn Troch from Belgium is one of the speakers. I met him at the Teatro Hostel in Barcelona in 2015 and wanted to write about him anyway. Back then I just started this blog project and was a bit to shy or thought it would be silly to tell him, that I try to start something similar (with respect to the idea to make a living out of traveling and writing). Now you know Bjorn! I really like his project idea. He is on the road since 2010 and was cycling a tandem bike from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong for example. People follow and influence his travels around the world and the community sometimes gives him challenges. Check out is facebook profile for more details. I don’t know any of the other speakers (jet), but I’m sure it’s worse to check out some of their blogs. Anne-Laure Carruth and her friend (2 women!) for example traveled around the Mediterranean in 2014 to experience and document everyday life in North Africa and the Middle East. Dave Cornthwaite from the UK attracted my attention with his idea to undertake 25 non-motorised 1000+ mile journeys. I would love to join the festival, but will not be able to make it this year. Next time maybe. Till then ALL THE BEST!

Corinna
